Chancellor’s Staff and Faculty Appreciation Picnic Will Feature Prizes, DJ and More

On Wednesday, May 1, from noon to 2 p.m., join Chancellor Patrick Gallagher, senior leadership and other colleagues for the Chancellor’s Fifth Annual Staff and Faculty Appreciation Picnic.

Featuring caricature artists, office and department photo ops and a DJ spinning tunes, the event will take place on Bigelow Boulevard. For faculty and staff who work on the upper campus, a Pitt Picnic shuttle will run on a loop from Scaiffe Hall to the picnic.

Participants who register online by Friday, April 26, will be eligible to win prizes including a 55-inch TV, tickets to various athletic events, membership to the University Club and more.

Additionally, colleagues can use this Google form to sign up as teams — and the one that earns the most tickets from carnival games will win a private lunch in the Babcock Room on the 40th floor of the Cathedral of Learning. The deadline to register a team is Wednesday, April 24.

Attendees are encouraged to show Pitt pride and wear their favorite blue and gold gear — it’s the perfect opportunity to show off gear featuring the new athletic colors!

And this year there will be a social photo competition, so tag your photos with #pittpicnic when you share them on Twitter. More details about the contest, how to participate and how to vote will be shared closer to the event.

Register online to attend the picnic or sign up for a group photo.
