On Thursday, Sept. 26, join members of the Latinx community for a series of discussions in a small-group setting at Hillman Library from 4 to 5 p.m. The event will feature five panelists, each at a different table, enabling participants to learn more about the panelists’ varied experiences through closer interaction and discussion.
Pitt panelists include:
- Belkys Torres, executive director of global engagement at the University Center for International Studies;
- Brenda Salem, Hispanic languages catalog librarian in the University Library System; and
- Steven Hernandez, benefits coordinator in the Office of Veterans Services;
Additionally, Bianca DeJesus, program officer at the Diversity and Inclusion Student Resource Center at Carnegie Mellon University, and Chester Thompson, dean of the STEM program at the Community College of Beaver County will be participants.
