Jeanne Marie Laskas, Distinguished Professor of English and founding director of the Center for Creativity, will read from her book “To Obama: With Love, Joy, Anger, and Hope” at Hillman Library on Wednesday, Feb. 27. The event, which is part of the Faculty Book Talks series, will take place in the Thornburgh Room on the first floor from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

When @Pitt asked what books readers looked forward to over the winter break, several named Laskas’ book, which explores who writes to the president and why.

“This book was a joy to write, and I’m inspired by the continued interest in it,” said Laskas. “The letters allow us to look at ourselves, as a nation, a culture.”
