Networking Opportunities for Faculty, Researchers from the Year of PittGlobal

The Year of PittGlobal has launched a new Global Salon luncheon series for all Pitt researchers and tenure- and non-tenure-stream faculty members.

The sessions, which began this month, are informal conversation groups that gather over lunch. With discussions centering on current or proposed research, the series aims to give participants the opportunity to meet colleagues across disciplines, discover common goals and be the first to hear about new seed grant funding.

The topics’ schedule for the sessions is loosely organized around the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals and themes will include prosperity on Thursday, Feb. 28; planet on Tuesday, March 5; peace on Tuesday, March 19; and partnership on Tuesday, April 9. All sessions will take place in the William Pitt Union, Lower Lounge, from noon to 1:30 p.m.

The Global Salon sessions are free to attend, and lunch is provided. Register online.
