PARK(ing) Day Info Session is May 10

On Friday, May 10, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., visit the Center for Creativity for an information session about Pitt PARK(ing) Day 2019, which will be held in September.

PARK(ing) Day is an international event that challenges people all over the world to transform metered parking spaces into gardens, performances spaces and whatever else participants can imagine. It’s a great opportunity for University offices, centers and organizations to come together to show some creativity — and learn more about other members of the Pitt community.

For the past two years, the Center for Creativity has teamed with the Department of Parking, Transportation and Services to host the event. Participants have included the Office of the Provost, the University Center for International Studies, Pitt Police and various student organizations, and spaces have featured everything from photobooths to “coffee with a cop.” View photos from previous events.

Attend the May 10 information session to learn more about what PARK(ing) Day is, see examples of creative transformations and get more information about how to sign up and participate. Refreshments will be provided. Register online for the session.
