Register on Pitt Commons to Mentor Students, Connect with Colleagues

Pitt Commons is a new web-based tool supported by the Personalized Education Initiative that provides a gateway to a vast network of Pitt students, faculty, staff and alumni. Using Pitt Commons, faculty and staff can network and make connections. And soon, they will be able to use Pitt Commons to mentor students, join groups based on common interests, post and answer discussion questions and browse resources.

Faculty and staff joining Pitt Commons can take advantage of networking opportunities within the system, which will provide them with a direct link to other University colleagues, alumni and friends of the University. Faculty and staff can list their experience and expertise and specify how they would like to engage with others on Pitt Commons. Participation is completely voluntary and registrants may engage as actively or as privately as they choose. We are particularly interested in enlisting faculty and staff who have interest in mentoring students to help them navigate their way through the University and into successful careers.

Details about Pitt Commons — including FAQs and simple sign-up instructions — are available online at commons.pitt.edu.
