Mark your calendars! The University’s 2019 United Way Day of Caring will take place on Friday, Oct. 18.

The Day of Caring is an opportunity for faculty and staff to join colleagues from across the University in projects that help local organizations in the community. Registration for volunteers will open on Sunday, Sept. 1.

Ahead of registration, employees are encouraged to get their teams ready to sign up, and to encourage non-profit organizations to submit proposals for review and potential inclusion.

Last year, more than 150 faculty and staff volunteered to hand out groceries to local residents, clean up gardens and community centers and drive Pitt’s mission of community outreach. Read more about the 2018 Day of Caring in @Pitt.
