Thornburgh Forum Lecture to Explore Democracy, the Internet

The Dick Thornburgh Forum for Law and Public Policy invites the University community to the Discussions on Governance Lecture Series, featuring David J. Hickton, founding director of the University of Pittsburgh Institute for Cyber Law, Policy, and Security.

In “Can Democracy Survive the Internet?” Hickton will discuss the relationship between democracy and the internet. The talk will explore the need to craft and implement policy responses to the internet and digital technologies that have affected democracy.

The event takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 25, from noon to 1 p.m. at the University Club, Ballroom B.
