United Way Campaign Reaches 92% of Goal, Prize Winners Announced

Through faculty, staff, retiree and special events donations, the Pitt United Way Campaign has raised nearly than $692,000—more than 92% of its overall $750,000 goal.

The campaign will accept donations through the middle of April 2020, and programming will continue during the spring 2020 semester.

Feb. 17 prize drawing winners

Faculty and staff who donate to the Pitt United Way Campaign are automatically entered into a prize drawing. This year, winners will be drawn every other week. Everyone who donates to the Pitt campaign is eligible to win in all of the weekly prize drawings. Prizes include Pitt umbrellas, lunch for two at the University Club, vacation days and designated on-campus parking spaces for one month and special mystery prizes throughout the campaign.

There is still time to make a donation and be entered in the final drawing of the campaign, which will be March 2.

How to donate

The Pitt United Way Campaign website has information about how you can donate to support the Pitt campaign.

Options to give include online through a recurring payroll deduction or a one-time gift; or by credit card, check or pledge form. There is still time to set up payroll deduction to begin in February by completing the pledge form by Monday, Feb. 10.

Donors can contribute to the United Way Impact Fund, through which the United Way targets funds to support the local agencies that serve populations facing the most critical current needs, or donors can instead choose from hundreds of local and regional organizations to direct their contributions toward.
