Pitt Seeks Faculty, Staff Input for New Health and Wellness Center
The new center — which will physically link the University’s upper and lower campuses — is slated to open for faculty, staff and student use in 2022. Projected at around 300,000 square feet, the center will accommodate a range of wellness, fitness, club and recreational activities and support an active, healthy and engaged lifestyle.

Third Draft Institutional Master Plan Community Meeting to Discuss Transportation
A more detailed version of Pitt’s draft campus master plan, which was created after more than a year of input from Pitt faculty, students and staff as well as local community members and partners, will be discussed at a community meeting scheduled for April 16.

Pitt–Johnstown Opens New Chemical Engineering Building
The two-story, 7,000-square-foot Chemical Engineering Building opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 21. It houses laboratories, classrooms, faculty offices and student study areas.

Title IX Office Educates Campus, Supports Victims
The Title IX Office and its network of partners across the University provide numerous options for reporting, education and training relating to incidents of sexual harassment and misconduct. The goal: Create a campus environment for all students, staff, and faculty that is fair, inclusive and free from sexual or gender-based misconduct, including discrimination, harassment and assault.

In his sixth year as chief of the University's police department, James Loftus said the best way for he and his 91 officers to earn respect is to be out talking to students, faculty and staff and “not holding ourselves separate.”
