Members of the Pitt–Greensburg community, including faculty, staff, students and alumni, are all invited to the campus’ biggest party of the year: the 2019 Blue and Gold Celebration. From Friday, Sept. 27, through Thursday, Oct. 10, a wide range of activities will celebrate the anniversary of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.
Pitt–Greensburg Golf Outing
Colleagues, friends and family can compete on a championship course while supporting Pitt–Greensburg students and programs at a 20th annual golf outing on Friday, Sept. 27. The event includes a full 18 holes, continental breakfast, buffet, photos and team prizes, with proceeds benefiting the campus’ Technology for the Future Challenge, Pitt–Greensburg Athletics and the Pitt–Greensburg Alumni Association.
Art Show
Taking place Friday, Sept. 27, through Thursday, Oct. 10, the Art Show @ Pitt–Greensburg will showcase the artistic talent of the campus community, as well as the talents of those who live and work in Southwestern Pennsylvania. A reception on Friday, Oct. 4, will feature refreshments.
Inaugural Founders Day Duck Dash
The Founders Day Duck Dash — a new event this year — is a way for students to celebrate the campus anniversary on Thursday, Oct. 10. Students will drop decorated yellow ducks from a pedestrian bridge into Slate Run Creek, where waders and nets will catch them at the end of the race.
