Activities Planned to Celebrate Pitt–Greensburg Founders Day

Members of the Pitt–Greensburg community, including faculty, staff, students and alumni, are all invited to the campus’ biggest party of the year: the 2019 Blue and Gold Celebration. From Friday, Sept. 27, through Thursday, Oct. 10, a wide range of activities will celebrate the anniversary of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg.

Pitt–Greensburg Golf Outing

Colleagues, friends and family can compete on a championship course while supporting Pitt–Greensburg students and programs at a 20th annual golf outing on Friday, Sept. 27. The event includes a full 18 holes, continental breakfast, buffet, photos and team prizes, with proceeds benefiting the campus’ Technology for the Future ChallengePitt­–Greensburg Athletics and the Pitt–Greensburg Alumni Association.

Art Show

Taking place Friday, Sept. 27, through Thursday, Oct. 10, the Art Show @ Pitt–Greensburg will showcase the artistic talent of the campus community, as well as the talents of those who live and work in Southwestern Pennsylvania. A reception on Friday, Oct. 4, will feature refreshments.

Inaugural Founders Day Duck Dash

The Founders Day Duck Dash — a new event this year — is a way for students to celebrate the campus anniversary on Thursday, Oct. 10. Students will drop decorated yellow ducks from a pedestrian bridge into Slate Run Creek, where waders and nets will catch them at the end of the race.
