A new Forbes Avenue crosswalk and signal is now fully operational. The new signal, located outside David Lawrence Hall at 3942 Forbes Avenue, was previously set to flash to help acclimate motorists and the community to the new signal.

On Wednesday, March 27, crews painted stop bars and crosswalk markings. PennDOT will conduct a 30-day test to ensure the signal functions properly.

To stay safe, Pitt Police encourages everyone to always cross streets within marked crosswalks, where drivers expect pedestrians.
