Engineering Hosts Theory U Seminar on March 26

How can we reinvent universities as catalysts for a renewal of civilization? How can we reinvent systems to put the learners into the driver’s seat of their own learning to encourage profound societal change? How can we reinvent pathways of learning to provide access to new social technologies, which empower learners to pioneer and co-shape a society that is more inclusive, sustainable, co-creative and aware?

Join Otto Scharmer, senior lecturer in the MIT Management Sloan School and founder of the Presencing Institute, and Eva Pomeroy, Social Innovator in Residence at Concordia University, as they share their work with Theory U and explore the role of universities in profound societal reward at “Reinventing the 21st Century University for Co-Shaping Societal Transformation.

Hosted by U.S. Steel Dean of Engineering James R. Martin II and the Organizational Innovation Lab, the public seminar takes place on March 26, from 11 a.m. to noon, at the University Club, Ballroom B.

RSVP online by March 21.

The event will be livestreamed at http://pi.tt/theoryulive.
