Final United Way Campaign Weekly Update, Prize Winners for Jan. 4

The Pitt United Way Campaign has raised nearly $650,000 through faculty, staff, retiree and special events donations. Not only has the University now achieved more than 86 percent of its overall $750,000 goal, but it is also only $40,000 away from breaking last year's record total for donations.

While this will be the final weekly update until next year's campaign begins, @Pitt will continue to include updates regarding special events and campaign milestones. And most importantly, the United Way campaign will accept donations through the end of March 2019 and programming will continue during the spring 2019 semester.

Contribution options

While the option to contribute online via payroll deduction is no longer available, employees can still make donations to this year's campaign using credit card and bill-me transactions online. Additionally, paper pledge forms can be used for all transactions, including payroll deductions.

How to donate

The United Way Campaign website has information about how you can donate to support the Pitt campaign.

Options include credit card, check or even by mail.

Donors can contribute to the United Way Impact Fund, through which the United Way targets funds to support the local agencies that serve populations facing the most critical current needs, or donors can instead choose from hundreds of local and regional organizations to direct their contributions toward.

Donation code supports Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh

The United Way established an impact fund donation code that supports the Our Victims of Terror Fund at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and 100 percent of dollars collected are sent to the fund. Participation online or via pledge form will be counted as part of the Pitt United Way Campaign. Search for the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh - Our Victims of Terror Fund or use the code 14576474.
