It’s that time of year: The Nationality Rooms inside the Cathedral of Learning are decked in their finest holiday adornments. This year’s annual Holiday Open House will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8, with a daylong of festivities sure to get the visitors in the holiday spirit. 

Travel through all 31 Nationality Rooms, including the newly dedicated Philippine Room, and learn about each country’s holiday traditions with Quo Vadis tour guides. 

Booths with international foods and goods will be available for purchase. Song and dance performances will take place in the Cathedral’s Commons Room. Artists include Pitt FRESA, Shovlin Academy of Irish Dance, Philippine-American Performing Arts, Temple Sinai Choir and more.

Nationality Rooms Holiday Tours

The Nationality Rooms will be decorated for the holidays through Jan. 18, 2020. Tours are $4 for adults and $2 for children.

Weekend Hours: Audio-guided tours are offered, without reservation, on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Winter Recess Hours: First-come, first-served guided tours are available Dec. 26-31 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the information counter (no reservations are accepted). There are no tours Dec. 24-25, 2019, or Jan. 1, 2020.
