Pitt Information Technology is excited to announce that enhancements to My Pitt (my.pitt.edu) and the Pitt Mobile app launch this summer.
Shooting for the stars
Last fall, Pitt IT gathered feedback and ideas during student-focused listening sessions, meetings with departments, and three online sessions open to the entire University community. The input received helped inform the development of the next generation of My Pitt and Pitt Mobile. The upgrades to both platforms not only modernize the look and feel with an intuitive and responsive user experiences, but also add a multitude of features.
Countdown to launch
Pending approval from app stores, the new Pitt Mobile app will be available to download from Apple and Google Play on June 1. Existing Pitt Mobile app users will receive the new app as an update; new Pitt Mobile app users will need to download the Pitt Mobile app from their respective app stores.
The new My Pitt launches July 1.

Preparing content for launch
Pitt IT has been working with contacts from departments across all five campuses to ensure a smooth transition. If your department has webpages, email campaigns or other materials that direct users to My Pitt—and you have not yet been in touch with a Pitt IT representative regarding the transition—please contact our 24/7 IT Help Desk as soon as possible and submit a case with “My Pitt Content Transition” in the subject field. Pitt IT will follow up to discuss your needs and develop a transition strategy. Learn more about action required for departments that direct users to My Pitt.
