Faculty, staff and students are invited to hear former U.S. Attorney and New York Times best-selling author Preet Bharara discuss his book, “Doing Justice: A Prosecutor's Thoughts on Crime, Punishment, and the Rule of Law,” with David Hickton, founding director of Pitt Cyber.
In his book, Bharara provides an important overview of the way the American justice system works, and why the rule of law is essential to society. Using case histories, personal experiences and his own inviting writing and teaching style, Bharara shows the thought process needed to best achieve truth and justice in our daily lives and within American society.
The event, hosted by Pitt Cyber, is Thursday, Feb. 13, from 4:30-6 p.m. in the William Pitt Union Ballroom.
Details about the free event and the link to RSVP is available online.
