On Tuesday, May 14, the Panthers baseball team will take on rival West Virginia University at PNC Park for the 2019 home contest.

The baseball version of the Backyard Brawl dates back to the 1939 season. The Mountaineers have a slim all-time advantage of 83-73.

The game will be the sixth time in Pitt’s program history that the Panthers have played at PNC Park, and the first since the 2009 season. All five prior games were played against the Duquesne Dukes, with Pitt earning a 3–2 record.
