Tips from Mailing Services: Your Campus Mailing Address

University Mailing Services cares about your mail and wants to ensure that you are receiving all of your mail as quickly as possible. Using a complete mailing address is the key to receiving your mail efficiently and without delay. If your mail is being sent via the United States Postal Service, please ask senders to include this information when addressing mail to you or your department:

University of Pittsburgh
First and Last Name (as listed in Find People) and Department Name
Building Name and Room Number
Street Address (Click here for an official University building list)
Pittsburgh, PA 15260 or 15261*

(*These are University of Pittsburgh zip codes used by the Pittsburgh Post Office to send mail directly to the faculty and staff mailroom, bypassing the Oakland Post Office, which expedites your delivery for first class mail.)

If you are receiving express mail, certified mail or mail from another carrier such as UPS or FedEx, use the Oakland zip code “15213,” as mail with special services will get delivered directly by a carrier to your department location.
