United Way Campaign Updates, Prize Winners for Oct. 17

A big thank you to everyone who has already contributed to the 2018 United Way Campaign. Launched on Oct. 3, the campaign has already raised almost $200,000 — 26 percent of the $750,000 goal.

Upcoming events

This Friday, Oct. 19, is Pitt's annual Day of Caring, as well as Blue and Gold Day on campus. If you can't make it out to participate at a volunteer site, you can show support by purchasing and wearing a Live United t-shirt.

There is still time to sign up to build literacy kits at the Center for Creativity on Friday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to noon. Click here for more information and to register.

How to donate

The United Way Campaign website has information about how you can donate to support the Pitt campaign.

Options include payroll deduction, credit card, check or even by mail.

Donors can contribute to the United Way Impact Fund, through which the United Way targets funds to support the local agencies that serve populations facing the most critical current needs, or donors can instead choose from hundreds of local and regional organizations to direct their contributions toward.
