About @Pitt

An official channel for internal news of note for faculty and staff

@Pitt is a new digital communication created expressly for people who are crucial to the University’s success: faculty and staff.

How to submit content to @Pitt

Announcements and briefs from all across the University — including regional campuses — should be submitted via an online form. These messages are generally expected to consist of a short summary linking to more information on existing department or organization web pages.

If you have a story (either original or repurposed content from another Pitt website or publication) that you’d like to submit for publishing, please send it via email to atpitt@pitt.edu.  All content should be relevant to the diverse staff and/or faculty communities.

@Pitt’s newsletter is sent each Wednesday. Content should be submitted for consideration at least one week in advance of the desired publishing date. All material is subject to editing according to space, style and policy requirements.

The University of Pittsburgh is a vibrant and diverse place to work, and opportunities to be part of the community abound. @Pitt’s website will be updated through the week with the latest announcements, events and accolades. An e-newsletter sent each Wednesday will include news, spotlights, and other stories of interest to staff and faculty. Together, the website and e-newsletter will deliver useful and timely institutional content to staff and faculty in a centralized, accessible and convenient way.

Readers can expect to find original and curated features from communications staff in the Office of University Communications; content from offices, schools, departments and centers around the University; user-submitted announcements and briefs; and more over time. Also, @Pitt is a place where University leadership can communicate directly with staff and faculty to share messages and perspectives.

@Pitt is designed to complement the existing publications that faculty and staff already receive and will focus on institutional and administrative content, plus practical news-you-can-use for an internal and professional community.

Welcome to @Pitt. We hope that you find the content in the e-newsletter valuable and visit our website often. Your feedback and submissions will always be welcomed and we hope to connect with you soon!
