Anticipation Ends, Transformation Begins: Bigelow Block Work to Begin Friday

Work begins Friday, Nov. 1, on a nine-month project that will beautify the center of campus, improve safety and accessibility and upgrade utility infrastructure to support future campus development.

Draft Institutional Master Plan Open for Feedback Through Nov. 5

The University’s draft Institutional Master Plan will be discussed at an Oakland-wide community meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

Fifth and Bellefield Crosswalks Undergoing Improvements

Pitt is working with the City of Pittsburgh on a four-week project that will improve the safety of the Fifth Avenue and Bellefield Avenue crosswalk area.

Engagement Sessions Scheduled for One Bigelow Development

A series of community engagement sessions is scheduled for August for the parcel known as One Bigelow. The development will serve as the hub of systems-oriented research, applications and education and will house the new School of Computing and Information.

The fifth of six community meeting to discuss the University’s proposed Institutional Master Plan will take place Wednesday, May 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the William Pitt Union.

Third Draft Institutional Master Plan Community Meeting to Discuss Transportation

A more detailed version of Pitt’s draft campus master plan, which was created after more than a year of input from Pitt faculty, students and staff as well as local community members and partners, will be discussed at a community meeting scheduled for April 16.

Pittsburgh Campus Planning Progresses

The final version of the University’s Pittsburgh Campus Master Plan is now available while the Office of Facilities Management seeks input on the Institutional Master Plan for submission to the City of Pittsburgh this spring.
