Pitt Dining is bringing the Farmers Market back to the William Pitt Union driveway. Starting Thursday, May 16, and continuing every other Thursday through June 27, local vendors will sell fresh produce and goods from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The market will resume again at the end of August.

Customers will find several new vendors, including Salud Juicery, Ferrace Farms and Old Time Farm, among returning participants like the Pie Place, Mediterra Bakehouse and Millie's Homemade Ice Cream.

“This year we’re stepping up our sustainability game and implementing some zero-waste initiatives,” said Nick Goodfellow, sustainability coordinator for Business and Auxiliary Services. "As always, we offer a food waste drop-off where folks can bring their collected food waste to get composted, and all our meal vendors are now serving food in compostable containers.”

Accepted payment forms may vary by vendor, but include Dining Dollars, Panther Funds, cash and credit cards. Don’t forget to bring a reusable bag to carry your purchases.
