Nov. 13 Staff Council Brown Bag: How to Help Students in Distress

Because members of staff and faculty interact with students on a daily basis across the University, they are sometimes in unique positions to identify students near or in distress.

In a Staff Council Brown Bag lunch taking place on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from noon to 1 p.m., attendees will learn about resources and best practices for providing help and support to students, as well as employees' reporting responsibilities.

Speakers will include Mary Bigante, care manager from the Division of Student Affairs; Jennifer Seng, assistant vice chancellor and deputy chief legal officer in the Office of University Counsel; and Kelli Lampe, counselor and outreach coordinator in the University Counseling Center.

You can find out more about the event on the University Events Calendar and register online.
